The PGA Tour is moving forward and this week it is highlighted by the 2021 Zurich Classic in Louisiana as we get a brief reprieve from normal 72 hole stroke play events. The 160 golfers make up the biggest course of the year, but it’s split into 80 two-man teams competing in this tournament in its current form for the fourth time.
There are also some great teams to follow throughout the week. Jon Rahm and Ryan Palmer are the most recent champions and they will be playing together again. Masters contenders (and Presidents Cup teammates) Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith are among the favorites. The same goes for Collin Morikawa and Matthew Wolff, as well as another Presidents Cup duo in Xander Sc Chaudele and Patrick Cantlay.
Three laps are on the books, and as we get ready to complete the final lap of action on Sunday at TPC Louisiana, we have a tight standings which should allow for an exciting finish. Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel emerged at the top on Saturday after combining to shoot a 63 to put them to 19 under. However, the contenders are not far behind as the teams of Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith and Tony Finau and Cameron Champ have 18 under.
Here is how you can follow throughout the week.
