A spectacular driftwood tree anchors the Mexican dining room of Ray Garcia’s ¡Viva restaurant!
Los Angeles celebrity chef Ray Garcia brings his Mexican restaurant ¡Viva! to Resorts World with its hit menu, including its must-have chicharron and garlic mojo. The restaurant’s design takes diners out of Las Vegas and plunges them into Mexico, filled with nods to images of Día de Muertos and bursts of floral arrangements.
Celano Design Studio created the look of the space in collaboration with local architect Marnell Companies. Diners can step out onto the promenade interior patio that sits along the resort’s 70,000 square foot shopping plaza, nicknamed The District, or head to the bar and lounge with suspended ceilings decorated with plants and floral arrangements. A large mural by artists Chalk & Brush anchors the interior patio, while outside, diners can sit on the patio to people-watch overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard.
Vincent Celano, founder and CEO of Celano Design Studio, says he took inspiration from Mexican culture and mixed it with distinctly Las Vegas touches. “When designing ¡Viva !, we wanted to create a collection of spaces with very unique individual atmospheres, while coming together to tell the same story, a story that represents the living culture and tradition of Mexico. and regional modern Mexican cuisine for which chef Ray Garcia is known for, while celebrating its location in the heart of Las Vegas, ”said Celano. “We’ve embraced natural elements like wood and greenery while pairing them with vibrant colors and artwork to create a rich, layered experience filled with texture, festivity and life. There is nothing like it in Vegas.
Some of the beautiful touches to the space include an exploding flower infinity mirror that doubles as an art installation. Behind the main bar is a bottle display influenced by the architecture of Mexico’s ancient ruins. Anchor in the dining room, a dazzling driftwood sculpture resembling a flowering tree. On the interior patio, a vibrant mural designed by Miami-based Chalk & Brush, inspired by the culture, landscape, architecture and motifs of Mexico, serves as a bar backdrop. a private dining room accommodation.
