April Food and Drink Events in Greater Phoenix

Spring has arrived, and with it, a variety of food and beverage events in Arizona. There are plenty of fun events on the calendar, from a fries festival and vineyard blessing (plus several other wine-related events) to restaurant openings and a limited-release beer launch at the benefit of a local foundation. New cocktails on the menu include the Bee’s Passion, made with house gin, house-made sweet and sour and passion fruit topped with Strawberry Citrus Smash Spiked Ice; a guava colada; and red and white sangria. Macayo’s also has new glass and clay mugs available for purchase online.

This year, the annual Farmer and Fisherman in the House dinner at Arcadian Farms Cafe will bring together Duncan Trading Company, Chula Seafoodand Distribution of quail, with all proceeds from the event going to World Central Kitchen, the organization currently providing food aid in Ukraine. The meal will highlight locally sourced fruits and vegetables and fresh fish, paired with fine wines. Tickets are $125 per person, plus service charge and 22% tax.

It’s hard to believe, but this year marks the 10th edition Urban wine walk in downtown Phoenix. Sips start at 1 p.m. CityScape Phoenix, or you can start your self-guided tour wherever you like. Participating locations will be offering wine samples for $5 each, which includes a snack while supplies last. The first 200 people to start their walk at CityScape will receive a complimentary commemorative wine glass.

The nonprofit, which was co-founded by former WNBA player Phoenix Mercury and Chicago Sky coach Bridget Pettis, is holding its first fundraiser at Garden of Opportunity Spaces from 18h Local premiere in Arizona chefs will prepare dinner using food grown and harvested by Project Roots AZ volunteers. Tickets are $100 on the Project Roots website.
