Diners and businesses came together to serve customers during Restaurant Week

Restaurant week returns to Long Island this weekend.

After the pandemic limited the participation of some restaurants, diners and businesses are now ready to serve customers this year.

The owners of Piccolo Bussola, a family-owned restaurant in Huntington for nearly three decades, say they are delighted with the return of Restaurant Week.

They say they missed it and their customers missed it too.

“We have a great value set menu, $ 35 per person, something for everyone,” says Piccolo Bussola co-owner John Lubrano. “Starters, main course, dessert.”

“Restaurant week is always a big thing for us. It helps. I think it affects different restaurants in different ways. I think if it’s a newer place it’s more customers who discover a place and find it. a place for the first time. We have been here for 28 years and 41 years in Glen Cove, so for us more people are rediscovering us, ”said co-owner Tony Lubrano.

The Lubranos say that with each passing week more and more people are going out.

“Business has picked up little by little and I think Restaurant Week will be a good week to bring people back,” said John Lubrano.

Glenn Garamella and his wife dine weekly at Piccolo Bussola and are delighted that Restaurant Week is back.

“It’s always a nice addition,” says Garamella.

Guests planning to eat at their favorite restaurants during restaurant week are advised to book in advance as seats fill up.

Restaurant Week runs from Sunday November 7 to Sunday November 14.
