Everything you need to know about the Toms River Halloween Parade

We are thrilled and Toms River and Ocean County are gearing up. Shawn and I will be in the parade again this year. It’s something we look forward to every year.

Thousands of people line the streets of Toms River to admire the incredible floats, high school marching bands and local organizations dressed in their favorite costumes.

As we prepare for another fantastic Toms River Halloween Parade, bigger than ever this year, we hear. Here are 10 things to know before you go…

* The Toms River Halloween Parade will take place on Halloween this year, Monday, October 31, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. *A rain date is set for Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

* People will line the streets of downtown Toms River a few days before the parade with their lawn chairs for their front row seats.

* The parade route begins at the Toms River Mall at the corner of Highland Parkway and Rt. 166. The parade descends Main Street turning left on Washington Street and ends at the corner of Washington Street and Hooper Avenue.

* Parade registration is on parade day, Halloween, Monday, October 31, 2022 from 8 a.m. at Toms River Fire Co 1 at 26 Robbins Street in Toms River.

* The Toms River Halloween Parade is great fun, it’s the 2nd largest Halloween Parade in the world. Arrive early, grab something to eat at one of Toms River’s delicious restaurants, sit down and enjoy. Over 100,000 spectators come to the Toms River Halloween Parade, can you even imagine?

* If you wear your costumes while watching the parade, we love seeing the costumes as we drive along the parade route. We’ve seen hundreds of great costumes over the years.

* Candy! Candy is distributed, but not thrown from the floats. Usually people walk along the floats and hand out sweets. Please don’t throw candy.

* Parking for the Halloween Parade is at the Ocean County parking lot on Hooper Avenue. This is the best place to park, remember to come early to get the perfect parking spot and spot along the parade route.
