Hollywood Bowl and American Dinner at Resorts World opening date revealed
A huge new ten pin bowling center will open in Solihull in December, the owners have confirmed.
Work has started on the newest Hollywood Bowl entertainment complex, and a sign announcing the venue’s opening has now been erected around a large unit on the ground floor of Resorts World.
The 20,000 square foot center will feature 17 lanes, including four VIP lanes, a bar, entertainment area and a Hollywood-style restaurant serving American classics like hot dogs, burgers and shakes.

Bosses originally planned to open the NEC-based site in January, but have since announced that its doors will open by the end of this year.
Laurence Keen, Chief Financial Officer of the Hollywood Bowl Group, said, “We are delighted to have secured another preferred, high-traffic destination to allow us to continue to execute our new center opening strategy.
“We are excited to bring the Hollywood Bowl brand experience to Resorts World and to be a part of this exciting development in Birmingham.”
Hours of operation have yet to be confirmed, although a license application has been approved by Solihull council, allowing the business to open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. from Friday to Saturday.
Reservations are expected to open in November.
The program will add another location to the Hollywood Bowl outlets in the West Midlands, with centers currently in operation at Broadway Plaza, Rubery and Wednesfield, Wolverhampton to Birmingham.
Solihull does not currently have a tenpin lane, although the bowling facilities were part of an approved cocktail bar and restaurant at the Touchwood Mall last year.
