A man died in a workplace incident at a Mexican restaurant.

Emergency services arrived at the Taco Bill restaurant on Princes Highway in the south-eastern suburb of Pakenham, Melbourne, around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Police and SES were at the Mexican restaurant overnight.

The restaurant had announced on October 18 that it would be closed for renovations.
