Opening of the Fable Diner & Bar in the former Taphouse & Grille space in Kingston
A long-standing Vancouver restaurant is officially expanding downtown.
The Fable family of restaurants, consisting of a diner in Mount Pleasant and a restaurant in Kitsilano, will be opening a new location called Fable Diner & Bar at 755 Richards Street.
This address is attached to the Kingston Hotel, where the Kingston Taphouse & Grille was located prior to shutting down on March 16, 2020.
The Fable group has already taken possession of the heritage property in the city center, the first construction of which dates back to 1910.
It has a large space on two levels totaling over 6,000 square feet. This number includes the two patios of the space, one of which is its characteristic “hidden” patio with palm trees.
This restaurant is licensed for 382 seats inside and outside.
Fable Diner & Bar aims to provide customers with brunch, happy hour, dinner, and late night dining for dinner, take out and delivery.
People can look forward to typical Fable drool-worthy dishes and all-day breakfast, as well as nostalgic brunch, pizza, wings and desserts.
There should be 15 local craft beers on tap here, as well as a menu of craft cocktails.
“We look forward to bringing the Fable family’s farm-to-table dishes to downtown Vancouver with the opening of our new location in the new year,” said the owner of Fable Diner & Fable Kitchen. , Ron MacGillivray, who will oversee the internal operations of the new company.
“Our team is working hard to expand the Fable concept into our historic new space at the Kingston Hotel, and we look forward to welcoming new and old customers when we open in 2022.”
The new concept is currently being renovated with a reopening scheduled for spring 2022. We will keep you posted on developments.
