You can now get brunch and a Covid vaccine at the Silver Diner

You can get vaccinated against Covid during a National match or even have it delivered to your home. Now, refractories can even get a side of Pfizer with their burger and fries. Silver Diner has partnered with his insurance company Kaiser and the Fairfax County Department of Health to bring mobile vaccination vans to several of its suburbs with parking lots.

While Silver Diner is not currently one of the growing number of restaurants requiring proof of diners’ vaccination, it does require all staff to be vaccinated. In March, the local broadcaster appointed a “vaccine czar” to help its 1,400 employees get immunization appointments. (As an added incentive, each vaccinated employee received a $ 40 AmEx gift card.)

Last summer, the company also invested half a million dollars in high-tech filtration and air purification systems at its 20 sites. Among the upgrades: air purification boxes installed every 250 square feet with anti-virus ultraviolet lights, bipolar ionization technology (which deactivates dangerous bacteria and viruses) and high efficiency filters.

Below are the places where you can get vaccinated with your meal. The hours are from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Friday September 17th – BWI Marriott parking lot (1743 W. Nursery Rd., Linthicum) – Second dose at the same location on October 8th.
